Terms of Use

AGREEMENT. This Terms of Use Agreement (the “Terms of Use“) specifies the terms and conditions for your access to and use of carrieondarling.com (the “Site”) and describes the terms and conditions applicable to your access of and use of the Site. We may modify these Terms of Use at any time, upon posting of the modified Agreement. Any such modifications shall be effective immediately. You can view the most recent version of these terms at any time at carriondarling.com/termsofuse. Each use of the Site shall constitute your unconditional acceptance of these Terms of Use. By using the Site, you affirm that you have read and agree to the terms and conditions in this Terms of Use.  If you violate these Terms of Use, your access to the Site may be terminated, with or without warning.

INTENDED USE.  The Site was created for the purpose of addressing the concerns of single women, and young adult life.  This Site is not intended for anyone under the age of 18.

PRIVACY.  The collection, handling, and use of your personal data and information about you is governed by the Privacy Policy.

DISCLAIMERS. I am not a licensed counselor or psychologist.  All advice is based on my own personal life experience and insights.  The Site will also contain information intended to support a lifestyle of wellness.  I am not a doctor, dietician, or healthcare professional.  I do not assume any responsibility for your health, or for any results or outcomes associated with your use of any suggested methods or recommended products.  Your health and wellbeing are, and shall remain, solely your responsibility.   No information provided is intended to constitute legal, professional, medical, or healthcare advice or diagnosis, and may not be used for such purposes. Always consult a professional prior to any action, dietary or lifestyle changes, or use of a product. 

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY.  All content, writings, recordings, designs, and guides available through the Site (the “Intellectual Property”) is protected under applicable copyright, patent, trademark, and other proprietary rights. You agree to not copy, display, redistribute, or otherwise exploit any intellectual property or other content from the Site, except for your own personal, educational, non-commercial use.

PERSONAL AND NON-COMMERCIAL USE. The Site, and all Intellectual Property located therein, is for your personal, educational, and non-commercial use, unless otherwise specified. You may not modify, copy, distribute, display, send, perform, reproduce, publish, license, transfer, sell, or otherwise exploit any portion of the Site.

MONITORING AND ENFORCEMENT.  Any inappropriate, violent, and otherwise unlawful communications will not be tolerated, and will be grounds for immediate termination of your use of the Site.  We have the right to monitor, remove, or refuse to post any content for any reason.

PUBLIC FORUMS. Public forums may be available through the Site. If you use a public forum on the Site and disclose personally identifiable information, you should be aware that such information could be read, collected or used by other users. You are, and shall remain, solely responsible for the content you post.  

APPLICABLE LAW AND VENUE. You agree that the laws of the District of Columbia, without regard to conflicts of laws provisions, will govern these Terms of Use, and any dispute that may arise. Any controversy or claim arising out of, or relating to, these Terms of Use, or the breach thereof, shall be settled exclusively by binding and non-appealable arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association, and judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator(s) may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof.

SEVERABILITY. If any provision of these Terms of Use is determined to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms of Use will otherwise remain in full force and effect.

ENTIRE AGREEMENT. These Terms of Use, along with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between the Parties, govern the terms and conditions of your use of the Site, and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications. We may revise these Terms of Use at any time by updating and posting to the Site. Your continued use of the Site following any changes to the Terms of Use signifies your acceptance of such updates or amendments.
